Sexual Assault Services Culturally Specific Program (click for info)
The goal of this OVW program is to create, maintain and expand sustainable sexual assault services provided by culturally specific organizations. For this solicitation, proposed activities must extend beyond intimate partner sexual violence and include services to a broad range of survivors (such as adults abused as children, child and youth survivors, and adults who are sexually abused by those other than an intimate partner.) In 2017, priority will be given to increase support for underserved communities of color, in a culturally appropriate manner, with a special emphasis on African-American communities

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2017 for the Broadband Program. The bureau has two application windows for FY 2017. To be eligible for a broadband loan, an applicant may be either a non-profit or for-profit organization, and must take one of the following forms:
• Limited liability company (LLC);
• Cooperative or mutual organization;
• A state or local unit of government
• Indian tribe or tribal organization
Individuals and Partnerships are not Eligible.

Funding to End Abuse in Later Life: Training and Services (click for info)
OVW is seeking proposals to support comprehensive approaches to addressing elder abuse. Proposed projects will provide training to criminal justice professionals to enhance their ability to address elder abuse, neglect and exploitation; provide cross-training to professionals working with older victims; establish or support a coordinated community response to elder abuse; and provide or enhance services for victims who are 50 years of age or older.

FY 2016 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants (click for info)
The goal of the SAFER grant program is to assist local fire departments with staffing and deployment capabilities in order to respond to emergencies, and assure that communities have adequate protection from fire and fire-related hazards. Local fire departments accomplish this by improving staffing and deployment capabilities so they may more effectively and safely respond to emergencies. With enhanced staffing levels, recipients should experience a reduction in response times and an increase in the number of trained personnel assembled at the incident scene.
